Spencer (Ray) Seaver 1946 - 1947 I have recently enrolled with Face Book and became aware of the Katoomba High School group. I attended KHS in 1946/47 and completed my Leaving Certificate. When I attended the Reunion a few years back I did not meet anyone from my year which was a disappointment but I guess many are gone and others are far away. On leaving school I became a Cadet Electrical Engineer with the BMCC however in 1951 I joined the RAAF and trained as a fighter pilot to serve in the Korean War. I left the RAAF and joined Qantas in 1956 and became the chief training pilot. Naturally I am now retired and living in Sydney. Peter Brown 1947 - 1951 In my KHS days I was a resident of Springwood and some years after my KHS days I graduated in Arts and a diploma in Town and Country Planning from Sydney University. My professional career took me to Canberra and Melbourne and my full time ocupation finished with the Mornington Peninsula Shire Council to the south of Melbourne. I am now substantially reired and enjoying my wife, our three children and six grandchildren. PS My half brother, Andrew Gray also attended KHS, graduated with a MA from Sydney University and recently retired after many years of teaching service with the Education Department. Wade Leach I attended Katoomba High School in 1954 (1st Year) and 1955. Info: I now reside in Melbourne and run a marketing consultancy specialising in the electronics industry.Whilst only spending 2 years at KHS they are very fondly remembered especially such times as the vist of Queen Elizabeth II and the subsequent naming of the lookout. Robert Heap Robert Heap Left after Intermediate Certificate 1958 I finished my Intermediate Certificate at the old Katoomba High on Parke St. in 1958. I have been living in Vancouver Canada since 1967, was employment in the Aviation industry for 40 years in Canada. I would be very interested in corresponding with any of the Katoomba people. p.s. My Dad, James Heap, was the headmaster of the Katoomba Primary around that time. Perhaps someone there can remember him.

Philip Dooley 1959-1961 I attended KHS from 1959-1961 when I did the Leaving Certificate. For the next 11 years, I worked in Armidale, then came to Melbourne in 1974. Up until her death in 2000, my mother had been a permanent resident in Katoomba, and I usually spent some time in the mountains walking over the well known tracks, when I visited her.

Dot Chartier (nee Caulfield) 1969-1971 I arrived in Katoomba, from Narrabeen, in March 1969, after the start of what we now call 'Year 8'. Left after the School Certificate in 1971 ..... would have finished Year 12 in 1973 had I stayed. No regrets! I remember with fondness the great times I had with Louise Patterson who befriended me when I first arrived - boy! did we muck up, or what!! - and Fran McDonald and others whose Christian names remain with me, but surnames have escaped me, Jo, Josie, Suzanne, Kim, Dot and many, many more - where have the years gone? Kenneth Hastings KHS 1973 to 1978 from year 7 to and including year 11 Worked 8 months with a local builder, joined State Rail Authority in 1979 in various areas including loco operations at Lithgow NSW, and the Railway Fire Brigade Alexandria. I didn't like that either so I changed over to computer programming and became a programmer. Daniel Spooner (previously Daniel Nolasco) Graduation year 1992, but only attended KHS in 1990. Living in Eastern Suburbs of Sydney and have been working as a firefighter in Kings Cross. Hadn't been to the mountains in years but drove through Katoombafor the Blackheath fires and remembered the good, but short, time at KHS. Would like to hear from people in that year as I left the mountains quite suddenly and never said goodbyes.

Robert Mcfarlane 1992 - 1995 I was a student at KHS from year seven through to year ten (1995), and I'm searching for some old school friends who I have not seen since leaving school. It's been over ten years since i've seen some of them, and I would love to catch up. We used to hang out in the library together at lunchtime and I don't think that i've ever had such best friends as I did then. I've managed to meet a number of ex-KHS students, very much by accident, as I now live in Surry Hills, and I guess a lot of us have just 'rolled down the hill' to the city. Philipe Spouse 1990 - 1995 Working for the federal government in Canberra as a developer (computer programming). Enjoying the work. Wish I'd had a break since high school, but no such luck! Went to Newcastle Uni for my Bachelors degree in Information Science. Nice place.
My advice to anybody is learn how to at least use a computer, or you're going to find life difficult. You can get by without, but you usually can't get far.
